Vidorec records your screen entirely on your device. Every video you capture is saved only to your device's gallery (Movies/Vidorec) — Deepliy never receives, stores or can access your recordings. The app works without an account; signing in with Google is optional and needed only for AI captions, the one feature that sends anything off your device: the audio track alone, never the video, and only after you agree. Screen capture only ever happens after you explicitly approve Android's system screen-capture dialog, and a system indicator is visible for the whole recording. Vidorec shows no ads and collects no advertising ID. To keep the app reliable we use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring for anonymous, aggregated usage, crash and performance diagnostics, and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing.

Advertising
Vidorec contains no advertising and does not use an advertising ID (AD_ID). We use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring only to understand feature usage, diagnose crashes and keep recording performance smooth; this data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. Subscription purchases (Vidorec Pro) are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Your video files are never uploaded anywhere (AI captions send only the audio track of the video you pick, and only after you consent) — they exist only in your device gallery, under your control. Vidorec can also show on-device notifications (recording controls, a note when a video is saved, or when an app update is ready); these are generated on your device, contain no personal data and can be turned off anytime in your Android notification settings.

Permissions

AI Captions (Optional)
AI captions are the only part of Vidorec that sends data off your device. The feature does nothing until you use it, and it does not start before you accept a consent screen that says in plain words what is sent and where.
- Only audio is sent. Vidorec extracts the audio track from the video you picked and sends that. The video itself never leaves your device.
- The audio is recognised by Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, a third-party processor. If you ask for a translation, the caption text goes to Google Cloud Translation.
- Your audio is not stored on our server. It is held in memory while the job runs and then dropped, and the temporary audio file on your device is deleted as well.
- What our server does keep: your Google account identifier and email address, your caption-minute balance and its transaction history, your purchases, a job record (length, language, error code) and the caption text produced. The text is kept so that repeating the same request returns the same result without charging you twice.
- A salted hash of your device is kept to stop the free starter minutes from being claimed over and over. The raw device identifier is neither sent nor stored.
- Signing in with Google is required for this feature alone, so that minutes you paid for stay with you rather than with an installation. The rest of Vidorec works without an account.
- Caption minutes are bought through Google Play Billing. We never see your card or payment details.
Your consent is versioned: if what the feature does changes, you are asked again. You can withdraw it at any time in the app, and no further audio is sent.
